Journalist - Conference Host - Media Trainer

speaker-picture

After 15 years in audiovisual media, I have directed my career towards corporate communication. Today, as a facilitator at events, I support corporate communication from content creation, through positioning interventions, training speakers, to hosting the event in French and English. I am also a moderator for Web-TV and webinars. My approach is summarized in three words: Energy, Engagement, and Alignment. Journalist - Host - Media Trainer - Event - Interview

It all starts with an unrestrained love for radio after attending journalism school. RMC, RFM, Europe 2, RTL 2, then the discovery of television, TMC, M6, TF1. After 15 years of a multifaceted career in the media, I then moved into Corporate communication with two focuses: EVENTS and MEDIA Training. Conventions, seminars, debates, webinars. CORPORATE EVENT: I can intervene upstream, from the conception stage, participating in the development of the concept, then ensuring the editorial management and facilitation of the event, depending on the needs and importance of the project. My approach is based on 3 key words: Preparation, Conciseness, Rhythm. PREPARATION What messages, what tone, what guide, what illustrations? How to get the speakers into action to be ready on the day? CONCISENESS Conciseness allows us to retain the essential and not get lost in details. An event is a series of messages: the more synthetic they are, the better they will be remembered. How to streamline interventions to project the messages. How to help speakers prioritize and sort through their arguments. RHYTHM I am the guarantor of the overall timing and that of each intervention. The rhythm is given by prompts, transitions, the presentation of speakers, and when necessary, at the end of an intervention, I summarize. Changing voice gives rhythm and avoids a monotone tone, hence the interest in the interview mode. Effectiveness is inversely proportional to the time occupying the space. MEDIA TRAINING Public speaking, interview preparation, crisis communication. I conduct individual sessions to take into account the specificities of each personality and progress step by step in the mode: "learning by doing." The theoretical part is interspersed throughout the exercises to be more relevant as it is situational. On the agenda: Verbal communication, non-verbal communication, posture, argument construction, prioritization, conciseness. 1/ FIND the right level of language. "If I don’t understand you, I don’t believe you." If you are an expert, it is up to you to reach the right altitude to speak to those who are not. Knowing your audience and adapting your intervention and language. 2/ PLAY your wind instrument and INTERPRET your score. There must be emotion, engagement, changes in rhythm, strong notes played, and others more nuanced. We write this score together, and its interpretation. We work here on prosody, effects, and intensity. 3/ EMBRACE your role as a speaker. It is not about being natural. It is about being yourself, but an enhanced self to convey messages. You need to raise your game. This is not a conversation, even if it sometimes appears that way. Learn to detach from the slides. You are the star, not a pie chart or a diagram. You give the meaning. The slide is not a prompter, but a highlighter. The work consists of provoking this feeling: feel like you are overdoing it and you will be just right. "Effectiveness is inversely proportional to the time occupying the space."
