TEDx Speaker · Energy, Climate, Adaptation, AI Speaker · Author · Spokesperson for Les Shifters / The Shift Project

speaker-picture

Dimitri Carbonnelle is one of the most committed French voices on climate and energy issues. Founder of Livosphere, a consulting firm specialized in decarbonization and adaptation to climate change, he has been supporting leaders and organizations for over ten years in their transformation in the face of the challenges of the 21st century. As spokesperson for Les Shifters, the partner association of The Shift Project, the think tank on low-carbon economy led by Jean-Marc Jancovici, he translates complex issues into concrete action levers for businesses, institutions, and citizens. Author of 2050, Crash or Renaissance? Towards a "mistletoe" society, a prospective work on future scenarios in the face of climate disruptions, he explores the fragilities of our societies, the role of technologies and AI, and the paths to collective resilience. A regular speaker in major media: France 2, LCI, BFM TV (http://tiny.cc/livo_itw_lp) and on the stages of major events: VivaTech, ChangeNow, TEDx (http://tiny.cc/livo_tedx_lp), Dimitri is a recognized bilingual French/English speaker known for his pedagogy, clarity, and ability to make climate issues accessible and mobilizing. His method: Dimitri co-constructs each intervention through a prior exchange and a detailed plan adjustable according to your needs, your sector, and your company. The final support is delivered one week before the deadline. His conferences are available in hybrid or filmed formats, with internal delivery of materials.

Conference #1

Digital Sobriety · Environmental Impact of AI · Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies

Digital technology is often seen as the solution to climate challenges. It is also one of the causes and one of the victims. Through concrete data and case studies from companies, Dimitri Carbonnelle provides a clear picture of the environmental impacts of digital technology and AI: carbon footprint of equipment, increasing consumption of data centers, tensions on mining resources, and vulnerability of infrastructures to extreme climate events. He then proposes an actionable roadmap: how to measure one's digital footprint, adopt a sobriety approach (the 5Rs applied to digital), frame the uses of generative AI, and use digital technology as a lever, not as an obstacle to the transition. A conference designed for companies that want to overcome contradictory injunctions and act methodically. Client references: Groupama, Vivendi, SEB...

Conference #2

Adaptation and Resilience: Transforming the Business in the Face of Climate and Energy Disruptions

Which companies will still be standing in 2035? Dimitri Carbonnelle maps the vulnerabilities of each link in the value chain, droughts, floods, volatility of raw materials, and provides a diagnosis of the strategic risks weighing on current business models, tailored to your company and sector. He proposes a concrete roadmap to build sustainable adaptability, based on robustness, diversification, and the principles of the circular economy (the 5Rs). Illustrated by real cases adapted to your sector (industry, agri-food, banking, insurance…), this intervention transforms environmental constraints into levers of resilience and development opportunities. The conference concludes with a forward-looking vision drawn from *2050, Crash or Renaissance?*: the model of the 'mistletoe society', more decentralized, cooperative organizations capable of navigating crises without breaking.

Conference #3

Energy Challenges: Decarbonization, Electrification, and Resilience

The energy world is undergoing a historic shift. Between the rapid rise in electricity demand driven by AI and data centers, the still incomplete electrification of transport and heavy industry, and the transition from a centralized system to more distributed networks, the margins for maneuver are narrow. Dimitri Carbonnelle provides a clear diagnosis of the current and future energy mix: dependence on critical materials substituting fossil fuels, vulnerability of infrastructures to climate hazards, physical constraints affecting the deployment of low-carbon energies. He proposes strategic levers to decarbonize uses and secure supply, transformation of networks, storage, integration of new technologies (floating solar, SMR as a perspective for 2030+) and helps decision-makers anticipate the transition to a decentralized and intermittent electrical system.
