Isabelle is a graduate engineer specializing in mathematics and holds a double master's degree in financial mathematics from Columbia University in New York. What applications of web 3 in business?
The objective of this talk is to enable you to identify opportunities for your business. To do this, the talk will start with a brief explanation of what web 3 is and then dive directly into business use cases. The cases presented are real cases, most of which have been implemented by your speaker. For each case, the speaker will present the objectives that were behind it and to what extent they were achieved or not. Is the goal to carry out a communication operation to show that one is innovative? Or are there deeper reasons and more significant business impacts behind these applications? It is recommended to accompany this talk with a question-and-answer session at the end, and to complement it with a more detailed talk in introduction to present what web 3 is (see the talk What is web 3?). The talk includes the presentation of three use cases, but upon request, it is possible to present more cases and cases related to your industry.
What is Web 3?
The goal of this talk is to help you clearly understand what we are talking about when we talk about web 3. With an initial explanation in the form of a pitch, you will understand the problems that this new generation of the web addresses. Some technical basics will then be presented to understand what makes web 3 work: blockchain. Web 3 will then be positioned in comparison to web 1 and web 2, allowing for an understanding of the evolutions. You will discover in particular that these evolutions can coexist. Finally, a focus will be placed on the underlying technology of web 3: blockchain. This is an opportunity to recall the crypto-anarchist origins of this technology and to explain the concept of resistance to censorship, which is essential for a good understanding of web 3. The talk may open up to a presentation of other concepts of the future web, such as immersive technologies (VR and Metaverses). Another talk can complement this one to address the business applications of web 3.
