Que faisait Lucie Bertaud avant d'être conférencière ?
Before becoming a speaker, I dedicated more than twenty years of my life to high-level sports.
I first joined the French boxing team, before moving to the French MMA team, and then turning professional. MMA allowed me to fulfill the dreams that inspired me as a teenager: fighting in Las Vegas, stepping into the cage at Bercy in front of more than 13,000 spectators, constantly pushing my limits, and experiencing things I could never have imagined.
But the greatest gift that sports have given me is not limited to titles or victories. Combat sports opened the doors to all my dreams. They allowed me to enter Sciences Po, then to become a sports journalist and commentator for media such as RMC Sport, Canal+, L'Équipe TV, or DAZN. Everything I built, I built it through hard work, perseverance, and determination. By the sweat of my brow, and sometimes by the strength of my fists.
Qu'est-ce qui a fait de Lucie Bertaud une conférencière ?
If I have become a speaker today, it is because I am convinced that the lessons of high-level sports go far beyond the boundaries of a ring or a cage.
We all have the ability to be a champion in our own lives. Some become champions in sports, others in their business, in their profession, in their family, or in facing the challenges they encounter. Being a champion is not about being the best in the world. It is about learning to move forward despite obstacles, to rise to challenges, and to believe in one's potential.
I love to convey this conviction because I know that an idea, a meeting, or sometimes a simple phrase can be enough to change a life trajectory. If my conferences can trigger this awakening in a person or within a team, then they will have fully fulfilled their mission, and my journey will thus make complete sense.
Pourquoi inviter Lucie Bertaud plutôt qu'une autre conférencière ?
Because I do not convey concepts that I have simply learned: I share experiences that I have truly lived.
My journey is that of a woman who had to reinvent herself several times, push her limits, and learn to move forward in uncertainty. From my beginnings in boxing to high-level MMA, from my career as a journalist to my path as an entrepreneur, I have always faced challenges that forced me to develop essential qualities: resilience, adaptability, commitment, and the ability to believe in oneself.
What sets me apart is this ability to create a bridge between high-level sports and the business world. I transform field experiences into concrete tools that anyone can apply in their professional and personal daily life.
But beyond my journey, what participants often remember from my interventions is my authenticity and closeness. I do not seek to impress by a status: I seek to create a connection, provoke awareness, and inspire action.
Inviting someone like me means choosing an intervention that is not limited to an inspiring speech but creates a real experience, with energy, emotion, and concrete keys to move forward.
What is the little extra that makes the difference in your interventions?
Beyond the content of my conferences, there is often a moment that creates a lot of closeness with the collaborators: the exchanges about my experience in the show Koh-Lanta.
It is an adventure that has marked the general public and naturally arouses a lot of curiosity. Participants enjoy discovering the behind-the-scenes of this extraordinary experience: the preparation, the filming conditions, the human challenges, the management of fatigue, uncertainty, and group life in an extreme environment.
These exchanges often provide an opportunity to create a different, more spontaneous, and personal bond. They also allow for discussions around themes that resonate with my conferences: the ability to adapt, managing discomfort, solidarity, surpassing oneself, and the strength of the collective.
It is this blend of a high-level sports background, strong media experiences, and a very accessible approach that allows for a true connection with teams.
What is Lucie Bertaud's speaking angle?
« My unique angle is to give employees an experience they have never had before: entering the world of combat (and sometimes hybrid fitness), to understand the mechanisms that allow champions to perform, manage pressure, and progress together. To my knowledge, I am the only speaker in France offering MMA team buildings combined with expertise as a high-level athlete and specialized journalist. »
Why do organizers like working with Lucie Bertaud?
Organizers appreciate above all my adaptability and commitment to each project. I take the time to understand the stakes and objectives of the company in order to offer a truly personalized intervention.
They also appreciate my responsiveness, reliability, and flexibility: I am fully involved both in advance and on the day itself to ensure that the experience is smooth and successful.
Beyond the quality of the intervention, what often comes up is the trust relationship I create with the teams. My goal is for each participant to leave with a strong memory, a positive emotion, and a real trigger.
What concrete results can the audience expect after a talk by Lucie Bertaud?
At the end of my interventions, participants leave with a different perspective on their own abilities and on how they approach challenges.
The goal is not just to inspire them in the moment, but to provoke a real change in mindset: to dare more, step out of their comfort zone, better manage uncertainty, and understand that obstacles can become opportunities for growth.
Specifically, participants leave with:
a new energy to take action;
a better confidence in their ability to face challenges;
tools to better manage pressure and periods of change;
a stronger vision of the power of the collective.
In my "Team Building" formats, particularly around MMA and combat sports, they also experience an event that strengthens bonds between colleagues and reveals qualities that are sometimes unsuspected in themselves and others.
The sought transformation is simple: to move from a mindset of enduring challenges to a mindset of choosing to face them and turning them into a source of growth.
