Leader of the 72nd Polar Expedition to Antarctica
Trained at St Cyr Coëtquidan, after a 27-year career as a gendarmerie officer in high-level command positions, followed by a stint in the private sector as operations director in several private security groups, I was the representative of the State in Adélie Land, led the French scientific polar base Dumont d'Urville in Antarctica for 14 months, and conducted the 72nd polar expedition to Antarctica. Since April 2023, I have been delivering lectures on the world of Antarctica from various angles (geopolitics, environment and ecology, history, scientific programs, extreme management....) to diverse audiences (businesses, local authorities, the education sector, associations....). I have recently surpassed the hundred mark for lectures. The lectures have been very successful, but I do not have the time to dedicate to audience outreach, so I need a placement partner. I have extensive experience in teaching and lecturing (several recorded television shows such as "Faites entrer l'accusé", "Au bout de l’enquête", "Indices"....) due to my role as director of complex judicial investigations. 14 Months in Antarctica: Extreme Management
After a professional career as a police officer in mainland France and overseas, culminating in the rank of colonel (mountain rescue helicopter pilot PGHM, director of complex investigations in criminal police, advisor to the Minister of Defense, several positions as territorial director...), followed by several positions as director of operations in private security, I led the 72nd polar expedition in Antarctica for 14 months, as a representative of the State and head of the Dumont d'Urville scientific polar base. An exciting experience with complete isolation for 8 months on this continent, with a team of about twenty people. A unique experience in the world of extreme management. I recount this experience through a conference lasting about an hour with numerous photographic supports and anecdotes. The question-and-answer session with the audience, according to a timing that belongs to the client, allows for a complete presentation. The conference is adaptable according to the audience and the angle desired by the client (management, scientific activities, geopolitics, environment and ecology, history.....).
