Marine Pétroline Soichot
Poscast host, speaker, and trainer, Marine-Pétroline decodes everyday sexism
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, with a degree in biology and a PhD in social sciences, Marine-Pétroline is a jack-of-all-trades. She has navigated from hard sciences to soft sciences, from academic research to business, passing through museums and even a sailing club. Through reading and observation, she realized that equality between women and men was not always present. Today, a woman can open a bank account, vote, pursue a career, choose to be a mother or not. Equality exists on paper, but not always in reality. Clothing, transportation, urban planning, medicine, grammar... sexism seeps into the smallest details everywhere and hinders real equality. Marine-Pétroline tells these stories of everyday, invisible, unsuspected sexism to help everyone to: - become aware of inequalities, - identify stereotypes and the sexist mechanics, - take action at their level for more equality. You can find these stories in the podcast "Chroniques du sexisme ordinaire" available on all listening platforms with over 60 episodes and more than 90,000 listens, and in her conference-show. Marine-Pétroline also works as an expert and trainer on discrimination and violence at work in companies and in the media.

Everyday Sexism: Understanding and Acting for Greater Equality
Equality exists on paper, but not in reality. Health, grammar, sports, careers... sexism infiltrates everywhere and inevitably seeps into us. As a result, we are all sexist. It's hard to admit. We don't believe it, we are angry or in denial. That's normal: it's the grieving process of a society we thought was equal. How do we move out of denial, anger, or depression? How can we act on our level? In this conference-performance by Marine-Pétroline, you will uncover stereotypes, understand the sexist mechanics, and discover concrete ways to take action. Pedagogy, humor, and zero guilt: we move forward together for greater equality. The pedagogical and humorous approach allows us to reach every person, man or woman, and to evoke emotions that inspire action on their part. Thus, you raise awareness among your teams about everyday sexism and promote a movement towards an action plan for inclusion and diversity at work.
