Manuela Leduc 🐣

A former notary and now a breeder of ornamental chickens, she is a fulfilled career changer who speaks about what she knows best: career transition, business, CSR, and chickens 😉.

speaker-picture

An atypical speaker profile: from Notary, I became a farmer and speaker. Indeed, after spending more than 20 years in notary work where I held almost every position (from clerk to associate notary, from director of the Institute of Notary Professions in Tours to trainer and head of Continuing Education for Notaries), I took the leap into career transition for my greatest happiness in 2018 by obtaining a farmer's diploma to create my breeding of ornamental poultry and ancient breeds. The desire to transmit and raise awareness has not left me, and alongside this breeding and its particular philosophy of raising awareness about biodiversity, I offer workshops, conferences, team-building, and café-cocotte. This 360-degree vision of the business world allows me to lead conferences on themes that are dear to me: career transition, sustainable development, CSR, biodiversity. In the conference "What if the company was a chicken coop," I humorously and kindly compare the two worlds I know best: that of business and that of the chicken coop. My goal: to help you reflect on your management and your CSR transformation. I can intervene with both leaders of large groups and SME managers sensitive to these essential themes for the virtuous development of the company. I also work with employees to inspire and motivate them. My interventions are refined both in content and form: they are playful and funny, and my vivid style will allow you to remember my recommendations for a long time. This particular approach allowed me to be awarded the Regional Entrepreneurship Competition by Women – France Active – 2022 and to receive the ESS trophy awarded by CPME in 2023. I have already collaborated with Yolaine de la Bigne during the 2023 Animal Intelligences Meetings and have shared my philosophy with local and national companies. My book "Oh Les Poulettes" published by Borée was released on October 26, 2023.

Conference #1

CAFE-COCOTTE

Let's meet over a coffee at your company for a fun and friendly workshop. Thanks to the hens, we talk about breed preservation, biodiversity, and waste reduction... You raise awareness among your employees and clients, showcase your values, and together you become eco-citizens.

Conference #2

QUIZ BUILDING CHICKENS and CSR

Over half a day, after a presentation on the raising of chickens to explain the philosophy and values, each team will have to answer questions about biodiversity, waste reduction, breed preservation, identifying the breeds of the present chickens, and variety ... While having fun, you will not only learn about chickens but also about the small simple actions that can make a big difference for the planet ... There might even be a hands-on activity to help you decide the winner ... Of course, the workshop will conclude with an awards ceremony and an egg tasting.

Conference #3

FROM THE POLAR BEAR TO THE GELINE DE TOURAINE, THE SAME FIGHT

Do you have any idea how many breeds of farm animals have disappeared in the world at the beginning of the 21st century? Biodiversity is threatened, and this is not just a statement from NGOs and researchers. Each of us witnesses this reality, but concretely, what can we do? Through a narrow lens and taking a field I know well (the hens), I will try to show you that we can all contribute to the preservation of breeds at our own level. Let us not forget that the survival of our species depends on maintaining biodiversity. Certainly not with a moralizing discourse, but simply with the example of the Géline de Touraine, we will try to become eco-citizens.

Conference #4

CSR by Example ... OR LIVING A UNCOMPLICATED CSR

What comes to your mind when I say CSR? Here is a selection of what I have heard: "The three pillars, I believe?" "The labels, oh yes, they are not mandatory, right?" "Pfff... it's greenwashing" "It's heavy, too complicated, it's just communication", "Oh but it's great, but my company is too small, my employees won't buy into it" "It's expensive, I don't have the time"... But what if we kept it simple? What if we considered that CSR is not decreed but implemented through small unifying touches that reflect your company and your values? By exploring concrete actions, we will see that there is something for everyone, every budget, and every company. And let's not forget that the AGEC Law, which will affect all companies starting January 1, 2024, will reshuffle the cards of CSR and sustainable development...

Conference #5

WHAT IF THE COMPANY WERE A CHICKEN COOP?

Take a chicken coop... look at the way of life of all these little beings: the rooster who watches, the hesitant cockerel, the submissive hen and the independent one, the newcomer who struggles to find her place, the little chick grown up who emancipates... Take the company... and compare... Wouldn't there be some similarities in these two social structures? Could we not draw lessons from this, becoming aware in a quirky and playful way of our sometimes inappropriate ways of functioning? And if the hens made us think? And you, are you more of a Sussex type or a Géline type? Shall we talk about it? What I notice every day is that La Fontaine's fables have not aged a bit... and what if we wrote together the Fables of the Company?
