Conference #1

The Anti-Sedentary Company

Sedentary behavior is an epidemic affecting ten million office workers in France. This talk is structured as follows: 1. Understanding the dangers: We will discuss the consequences of sedentary behavior on our health, to better understand its impact on our physical and mental well-being. Cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, as well as loss of efficiency and creativity! Companies have every interest in promoting physical activity in the workplace (which is different from sports) for the health of employees, but also for better productivity, fewer sick leaves, etc. 2. Exploring solutions: The result of extensive research prior to the publication of the book "La Chaise Tue", I share around fifty practical tips for integrating more movement into the company. Whether through active breaks, ergonomic office arrangements, or group activities, there are many ways to move together at work! The talk is available in two formats of 90 minutes: in-person workshop directly within companies, or remote ZOOM workshop.
