Mental Preparation / Local Catalyst / Fintech Actuary / Serial Entrepreneur
Until 2016, most of my professional circle knew me as an Actuary, and a minority as a high-level equestrian vaulting athlete. (If you want to know more about equestrian vaulting, here is a video illustration.) I have constantly hidden one of my activities from the other and one of my worlds. Yet, I have always juggled this double life: first, elite school and high-level sports, then the professional world and high-level sports. The end of my sports career in 2016 led me to a cycle of introspection and life journey. The emptiness was intense... even though I had a thirst for freedom to do everything that the demands of high-level sports lead one to set aside. I could talk to you about this descent into hell that many athletes experience during this period: the loss of bearings, doubts, vertigo, the spiral of declining self-confidence, the question of identity, the questioning of those projects and dreams that one cannot set for oneself, as the choices are infinite... And yet, I had decided on this career break. I felt serene. Precisely because I could cling to this other life, the professional life, in which I had always invested in parallel, and in which a beautiful career was also mapped out! Because it is important for me to maintain balance at every moment, I decided to preserve several activities to compose my professional life, becoming a Slasher. Today, I present myself as a slasher: Mental / Local / Serial Entrepreneur Tomorrow, perhaps other professional "slashes" will appear. I let myself be carried away... The letting go is total... Because nothing is ever guaranteed. Everything is a question of balance...!
