Nicolas Imbert

Rethinking the planet, helping to provide concrete answers to climate, environmental, health, economic, and social emergencies.

speaker-picture

Nicolas Imbert works to bring the earth together and rethink the planet, to help provide concrete answers to climate, environmental, health, economic, and social emergencies. An engineer by training, he graduated from Centrale Lyon and the University of Southampton, and focuses his professional activity on three essential issues for organizations, territories, and human life: Establishing resilience in global health for activities and territories, Envisioning and making possible economic models adapted to the challenges, Co-constructing these transformations at a human scale through energy, food, and lifestyles. To this end, he strives to illuminate the choices that allow for the evolution from vulnerabilities to climate resilience, through conferences and training supported by the concrete projects he has contributed to. He has gained over 20 years of experience on the subject, built both with companies, investors, and other economic actors, local authorities, and civil society, in France and internationally. This experience was acquired in consulting firms, then in an environmental and humanitarian association, always with a logic of entrepreneurship, co-construction, and effective project implementation. He has successively worked for about ten years in strategy and sustainable development consulting firms, fourteen years as the director of a recognized environmental and humanitarian association, and now as an independent and collaborative expert. Five priority intervention areas structure his action: water, the coast, and the ocean, food, sustainable cities and territories, circular economy, cooperation and solidarity. All of this, in humanity and global health. Nicolas is the author of two books: - Advocacy for a (more) sustainable world, December 2022 - ISBN 978-2493575234 - Rethinking the planet, December 2024, ISBN 978-2492973192. www.repanser.eu

The health, economic, social, and ecological crisis we are experiencing is also an opportunity for radical transformations or progressive evolutions. Some speak of a change in civilization, others of a metamorphosis, while many remain undecided. Built around examples and concrete feedback from various territories, this intervention allows us to understand how to accelerate the change we wish to implement and make the transition swift and beneficial. Bioinspiration, beyond biomimicry, the living that inspires us

Let us draw inspiration from living beings and nature. In the face of climate and environmental challenges, let us study the solutions already implemented by nature, and find the right techniques to draw inspiration from them without being intrusive or reductive.

Conference #5

Building Global Resilience in Response to Climate Disruption

The health, economic, social, and ecological crisis we are experiencing is also an opportunity for radical transformations or gradual evolutions. Some speak of a change in civilization, others of a metamorphosis, while many remain in indecision. The world is changing, but is our perspective evolving in proportion? It is now up to the vanguards of ecological resilience and innovation to find their own levers of action, within an entrepreneurial dynamic that is effective and generates triple performance: economic, ecological, and societal. This conference, in French or English, aims to provide precise answers and feedback on concrete questions.
