Vincent Engler
Speaker / Writer / Lecturer / Entrepreneur
My name is Vincent Engler, I am a committed writer, speaker, and entrepreneur, born in 1987 in Thionville, Moselle. I come from this borderland between France, Germany, and Luxembourg, where identities intersect, cultures enrich each other, and where trajectories, like mine, sometimes take unexpected paths. I was born with brachial plexus paralysis, an accident at birth that left my left arm partially paralyzed. Early on, I understood that my struggle would not be so much against what I could not do, but against the preconceived notions of what I could never become.

Vincent has learned to face the many challenges posed by his disability in everyday life. For him, as for all of us, it is important to take the initiative, but perhaps the hardest part is to endure the gaze of others. A real estate agent, author, and speaker, Vincent has been disabled since birth. His brachial plexus only allows him the use of one arm. Through a series of cases and everyday exercises, he shows us and helps us feel a part of the challenges he brilliantly overcomes, developing a curious and never resigned spirit. He does not do this to attract sympathy or pity, but to help us step outside our own framework by facing our own personal challenges and also those of our society and the connections between its members. Today's disabilities can indeed take many forms, particularly social ones, and this will be the great lesson that business leaders, students, and every 'normal' person, disabled or 'normally disabled', can reflect upon.
