Give Up? Never!
A lively and passionate conference, just like me ;-) I am said to achieve the impossible! I was born profoundly deaf and took 20 years to learn to speak without ever having heard the sound of my voice, then I became a lawyer because I was told it was impossible. Today, I enjoy breaking through the barriers that society has regularly placed in front of me. I was told that I would never speak, that I wouldn't learn to read or write, that I wouldn't get my diploma, that I wouldn't be happy, that I would never earn a good living with my disability... And yet... For 10 years, I have experienced professional life in all its forms (start-up, multinational, international organization, law firm), in several countries and in various roles (lawyer, legal advisor, project manager, department head, board member). I have learned a lot... In short, "Should I continue? Should I stop?" Who hasn't asked themselves this question at some point?
